POSITION PURPOSE
|
|
Report to Senior Manager, Social and Environmental Responsibility. Assist in the execution of The Home Depot Social and Environmental Responsibility strategy especially for the Shenzhen Regional Sourcing Office.
|
|
MAJOR TASK, RESPONSIBILITY AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
|
|
· Responsible for conducting the SER audit management process, including creation of audit reports, CAPA plans and CAPA evidence reviews and approvals. Support SER audit scheduling with the US team, suppliers and service providers.
· Responsible for supplier monitoring process, including review of supplier self-assessments, audit reports and corrective action plans, development or analysis of supplier capability programs
· Responsible for service provider management, including tracking, training, monitoring and guiding SER audits and CAPA management process etc. to ensure service providers deliver quality work within agreed service levels.
· Responsible for providing technical support
· Responsible for internal & external training/presentation.
· Execute supplier performance metrics and scorecard relevant to Social and Environmental Responsibility Program
· Development of partnership relationships and communications with non-governmental organizations and/or customers.
· Liaison with functional teams and initiative sourcing leaders across Asia Sourcing Office
· Coordinate collaborative efforts across functional teams and suppliers in Asia Sourcing Office
· Train/Educate internal stakeholders and Vendors/Factories on THD’s SER guidelines
· Informal benchmarking of policies and processes at other multinational companies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
|
|
· Bachelor Degree in/or Political Science, Law, Environmental Affairs, International Business, Public Policy
· Must possess strong work ethic and excellent client service skills to ensure effective, responsive client interaction (internal and external).
· Proven Social and Environmental Responsibility auditing skills & experience in the fields of Social Audit (a must) & Factory Evaluation (preferable)
· Formal training in SA 8000/ RAISE 1000 etc. by external accredited centers / professional bodies
· 2 year+ experience in training related discipline
· Proficiency in labor laws and other legal regulations pertaining to Social and Environmental Responsibility
· Knowledge in other auditing standards, e.g. HACCP, BRC, ICTI, BSCI, E&HS would be an advantage.
· Excellent English verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
· Experience in preparation of Social and Environmental Responsibility Presentations and training
· Experience in root cause analysis for Social and Environmental Responsibility noncompliance.
· Must be confident, highly efficient, and self-motivated.
· Must be personable and work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
· Ability to foster partnerships with diverse groups and organizational levels
· Knowledge of Non-Governmental Organizations to build key regional partnerships to execute strategy.
· Strong quantitative business analysis with proven problem solving skills
