崗位職責:
· This individual promotes high standards of safety, health and environment, stressing
the importance of accident and illness prevention. (S)He is provides consulting
services to Safety Committees to guide them in their activities to ensure compliance as
well as effectiveness. The incumbent promotes personal responsibility and
accountability for safety, security and environment by all employees. The incumbent
ensures that a system is in place to provide issue tracking and closure through the
Safety and Environment Committees. Ensures that employees, visitors, and
contractors (including subcontractors), have received and understand their
responsibility in adhering to the safety program including safety rules, practices and
training as outlined in the BorgWarner Safety Manual and Global Star Safety
Framework (GSSF).
Principal Accountabilities:
· Manage and assist in the implementation of Global Star Safety Framework.
· Develop the BorgWarner China safety strategy to reduce incidents at the plants.
· Responsible for analyzing and communicating safety statistics to the MET and plant
management staffs.
· Responsible for setup and maintain ISO14001 system. 2
· Chairperson of the Safety Steering Committee and member of the Corporate Safety
Council.
· Responsible for keeping up with changes in regulatory compliance issues and
implementing changes as required in our facilities.
· Liaison to the global operations of BorgWarner on safety-related issues.
· Ensure that all employees receive the appropriate safety and emergency response
training.
· Ensure that safety and environment inspection and audit programs are in place to
identify and address potential hazards and/or unsafe behaviors to prevent injuries,
illnesses and property damage.
· Ensuring that all operations are conducted within applicable regulations and guidelines.
· Ensure that all fire protection systems are Inspected and maintained, and that the
appropriate personnel are trained to operate, inspect and maintain those systems.
· Ensuring that the PEO is staffed, trained and ready to respond promptly to any
emergency situation to reduce possible business interruptions.
· Develop security strategy and applicable goals and objectives. Works with the
employees in the department for implementation.
· Assisting in the prevention of worker's compensation, first aid, OSHA recordable, and
lost workday cases.
· Ensuring that medical assistance is available in all sites and during all shifts.
· Providing facility security and asset protection.
Requirements/Qualifications
· BS in Safety, Health and/or Environmental or equivalent training and experience;
· At least 5 years experience with safety and environment, fire systems, emergency
response, industrial hygiene, and security operations;
· Familiar with finance and budgeting procedures;
· Proficient computer based skills including database, spreadsheet, word processing and
presentations.
· Experience in technical and awareness level training program development and
delivery;
· Good English communication skills.

Key Accountabilities:
· Ensures compliance with OSHA, ISO14001 and BW Corporate policies and
procedures relating to Safety, Security & Environment;
· This involves having the knowledge and experience with the Department of Labor,
Code of Federal Regulations, Section 29 (Labor), Part 1910 (Occupational Safety &
Health Administration for General Industry), ISO14001 and BorgWarner Corporate
regulations;
· Coordinates the operations of the Plant Emergency Organization (PEO), and is
responsible for the Security Department.
