Allen Neustater joins Atlas Safety Equipment, One of the earliest manufacturers of fall protection and fire rescue equipment, as Vice President.
1985 Gemtor Incorporated
On September 4, 1985, Allen Neustater equipped with his 18 years of experience and knowledgeable and dedicated staff establiSHEs Gemtor, Inc. and begins manufacturing fall protection and fire rescue equipment in our Matawan, New Jersey factory.
1989 Craig Neustater joins Gemtor, Inc.
After Graduating from Rutgers University in the spring of 1989, Craig joined Gemtor. Craig started in accounting and HR but soon got involved in every aspect of the business including product development, sales and marketing.
1999 Gemtor, Inc. becomes ISO 9001 Registered
In 1999, Gemtor, Inc. received its ISO 9001 registration from UL (Underwriters Laboratories) after all aspects of the companies quality system was thoroughly reviewed and found to be in compliance with the ISO 9001 standard.
2006 Craig Neustater becomes owner and President.
In January of 2006, Craig purchased Gemtor from Allen and became President. Allen became a consultant to Gemtor, Inc. and remains actively involved with the company.
